All nursing students belong to the Student Government Association which governs student activities. The Association elects officers and faculty advisors and meets monthly during the academic year to conduct business. It sponsors a variety of activities including social events, class activities, athletic programs, fund-raising projects, group discussions and community service activities. Members also participate in the state and national student nurse organizations.

Representatives of the Association have the opportunity to attend the state and national conventions of these organizations.

Officers of the Association bring student concerns to Faculty Organization meetings while other Association members serve on Faculty Organization committees. Association members are also responsible for helping to orient new students.
