Effective September 1, 2011

The faculty of JFK Medical Center Muhlenberg Harold B. and Dorothy A. Snyder Schools has developed an institutional academic standing progression policy. Federal and state regulations require that students receiving financial aid maintain satisfactory progress in their courses of study. Unsatisfactory scholastic achievement is cause for reduction and/or cancellation of awards(s). Students shall be monitored for satisfactory academic progress at the end of each semester.

Quantitative Measure
Students must complete a minimum number of credits toward graduation requirements each academic year in which they are enrolled at JFK Medical Center Muhlenberg Harold B. and Dorothy A. Snyder Schools. The overall requirements are as follows:

  1. No student, either part-time or full-time, remediation or non-remediation, will be afforded more than six (6) years to complete the program.
  2. Progression of half-time and three quarter time students is computed proportionately.
  3. TAG and EOF awards are administered under the auspices of Union County College. Students receiving these awards are bound by the Union County College standards for administering these programs.
Below are minimum academic progress charts that full-time students must adhere to:

End of full-time
semester enrolled:
123456789101112
Credits completed:    01224364556757575757575

Any attempted credits during a semester will be considered in determining quantitative measure. Appropriate consideration will be provided to students required to take non-credit developmental courses. Students may be funded federal and state aid for up to 30 credits of remedial coursework.

Students, who have previously been on SAP Warning or have been denied financial aid, and who then go on to pass all courses during the award year for which they were on warning or have had their aid denied, will be considered as progressing and will not be denied further financial aid.
