JFK Muhlenberg Snyder School of Radiography and Union County College offer a 2 year Amplified Radiography Program, which includes fall, spring and summer semesters. Graduates will receive both a Diploma in Radiography and an Associate in Science Degree.
The radiography program is a 2-year day 3 semester (Fall, Spring and Summer) program. It consists of general education college credits and professional radiography courses with clinical experience.

Is there a waiting list for admissions?

There is no waiting list for admissions. However, there may be a waiting list for radiography clinical courses. Enrollment for the professional radiography courses is determined by date of admittance, satisfactory completion of the science and other general education course requirements and seat availability.
General education courses are offered day, evening and weekend hours. Radiography courses are offered daytime only.
Applications are processed on a rolling basis for either fall or spring entrance. See Admission Requirements.
No. It is neither recommended nor necessary to do so. The JFK Muhlenberg Snyder School of Radiography program consists of two parts: general education courses (prerequisites and co-requisites to the radiography clinical courses), which include science and liberal arts courses, and radiography courses (clinical). While advanced standing may be awarded, courses are not pre-requisites for acceptance. You do not have to attend Union County College first (or any other college) before applying to the JFK Muhlenberg Snyder Schools' radiography program.

The term "pre-requisite" is not the same as the term "admission requirements." Pre-requisite courses are courses that must be completed before progressing to the next course. The pre-requisite courses listed in the School of Radiography curriculum are part of the radiography program. They are not admission requirements. Therefore, you do not have to complete them prior to applying for admission.

There are Admission Requirements for the JFK Muhlenberg Snyder Schools. Also there is Additional Admission Information which addresses additional criteria and supplemental information to the application process.

A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above for all general education and science courses is required for graduation. Students must obtain a 2.5 (“C+”) or above in all professional courses. Since many of the courses are sequential, the student must successfully pass the course and attain the required grade prior to advancing.

Note: The JFK Muhlenberg Harold B. and Dorothy A. Snyder School of Radiography Curriculum includes science, general education and professional radiography courses. While many sections are offered, registration into these courses cannot be guaranteed. Registration for all radiography courses is on a seat availability basis. Seat availability means that students with advanced standing are not guaranteed enrollment in radiography courses for the semester they prefer. Students may register for other required general education courses. All biology courses (Anatomy I and II) have a five-year time limit; physics has a ten-year time limit. Consult the Curriculum Design page of the Schools' Catalog for additional information.
