Admission Requirements
Students must first be admitted to Union County College as a Diagnostic Medical Sonography
major and begin the non-professional portion of the program. When all of the pre-clinical
course requirements are met, the student may then apply to begin the professional (Clinical)
portion of the program. Basic admission requirements include:
- Declaration of Diagnostic Medical Sonography as the designated curriculum choice.
- Completion of ALL pre-clinical courses with a grade of "C" or higher.
In order to be eligible to take the national credential examiniation administered by the
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, students must obtain a "C" or better
grade in all the currently required college and program courses for an Asociate in Science
degree.
