Union County College
Solaris Health System Union County College
The Schools provide a residence facility for students who wish to live on campus. About 40 students per year choose to take advantage of this opportunity.

If a waiting list exists, priority for housing is given to full-time students, those enrolled in a clinical course or students residing beyond a 15-mile radius of the School. Half-time students (six to eight credits) who reside beyond a 15-mile radius from the School and College are eligible to live in the School’s housing.

The majority of students requesting housing can be accommodated. The student residence offers private rooms, recreational, study and lounge areas and laundry facilities. Kitchenettes are available on each floor for the preparation of snacks.

The kitchenettes are not intended to be used for daily meal preparation. Refrigerators are allowed in student rooms; however, heating and cooking appliances are not. Students may purchase meals at the hospital cafeteria or in the hospital’s new snack and food bar. As a student wearing proper photo identification, the hospital employee discount is extended toward meal purchases.

The Dean of the Schools, assisted by the residence staff, is responsible for meeting students’ general housing needs and for overall supervision of the residence.
