The Faculty of the School of Nursing seeks to admit
those candidates who are best qualified to meet the academic
requirements of the nursing program, and who, by reason
of academic potential, purpose and maturity, show promise
of successful completion of the program. |
| • |
Admission is selective and competitive. |
| • |
Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible
for either full or part-time study. Deadlines allow the
school to process the completed applications*
and register the new students properly.
*A completed application
includes ALL documents/credentials
required of the applicant. |
| • |
Personal interviews are not required as part of the
admission process. Information Sessions are held to acquaint
applicants with the program of study and to clarify the
admissions process. Credit Evaluation Workshops provide
review of credits for transfer. The Admissions Committee
may request that the applicant clarify information presented
to the School of Nursing before an admission decision
is made. |
| • |
Candidates are promptly notified by mail of action taken
by the School of Nursing Admissions Committee. Persons
who are accepted into the program must submit a non-refundable
acceptance fee. |
| • |
It is NOT necessary to apply separately to Union County
College. All applications are made directly to Muhlenberg
Regional Medical Center School of Nursing. Through a joint
admission policy, applicants accepted for admission to
Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center School of Nursing are
also accepted by Union County College. |
| • |
Applications remain active for two semesters, the semester
applied for and the next semester. |
| • |
It is imperative that the applicant apply to the School
of Nursing before attempting any courses required by the
Program. |
